Job summary

NEW LIFE TECH PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Laptop Technician to inspect, test and grade refurbished laptops, diagnose hardware and software issues, and prepare devices for sale in-store and online.

You will upgrade components, provide friendly customer service, handle stock receiving, packing and daily dispatch, and perform final quality checks. The ideal candidate has hands-on IT skills, knowledge of Windows and BIOS, and is able to work retail hours, including some weekends.

Qualifications

Nitec / Higher Nitec in IT, electronics or related field (or equivalent experience).
0-3 years of laptop or PC repair experience; candidates without experience but with strong hands‑on skills are welcome to apply.
Good knowledge of Windows, BIOS and hardware troubleshooting.
Careful, HONEST and organized; accurate grading matters to us.
Comfortable dealing with customers.
Able to occasionally lift and carry boxes or equipment of about 10-15 kg when stock arrives.
Able to work retail hours, including some weekends.

Responsibilities

Inspect, test and grade laptops (screen, keyboard, battery, ports, storage, cooling)
Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues
Upgrade RAM and SSDs; replace batteries, keyboards, screens and fans
Clean and prepare laptops for sale; install Windows and drivers; securely wipe data
Perform final quality checks and record serial numbers and condition before items are listed or shipped
Handle warranty checks and after-sales technical support
Answer walk-in customers' technical questions
Help with receiving stock, packing and dispatch daily orders
