Job summary

Aoki in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Cook for our Japanese fine dining kitchen. No or little experience is fine; you will be trained in fundamentals of Japanese culinary skills while upholding high standards of our fine dining establishment.

You will prepare fresh ingredients, organize supplies, maintain hygiene, receive deliveries, and collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service. Willingness to work weekends/public holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and training provided in Japanese culinary skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high standards.
• No experience required or less than 2 years in a fine dining restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing fresh ingredients such as vegetables, seafood, and sauces to support menu quality
• Organise ingredients and replenish supplies during service to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation to uphold hygiene and safety standards
• Receive deliveries and inspect ingredient quality to ensure freshness and compliance with standards
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen team members to support overall kitchen workflow and service readiness
