Job summary

Cold Storage Singapore 1983 Pte Ltd is hiring a Meat Department Associate to support daily operations in our busy store. You will weigh, trim and cut meat to customer specs while upholding SOP, food safety and hygiene.

You will assist customers, provide product advice, maintain fresh displays using FIFO, and keep the area neat. The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.

• Replenish chiller and display areas, maintain FIFO and display fullness.
• Maintain hygiene and housekeeping at all times to reflect a good company image.

Job description

The Role:

• Perform assigned duties diligently at the work-station by observing the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Food Safety and Work Safety Standards.

• Weigh, clean and cut all types and sizes of meat for customers accurately according to standards and requirements.

• Attend to customer’s queries and needs promptly in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner to achieve customer satisfaction.

• Apply product knowledge by assisting customers in their meat and poultry purchase by advising them what is ideal for the type of food to be prepared.

• Replenish upright chiller and showcase according to display requirements set to maintain a good and “full” display at all times. FIFO practice to be observed at all times.

• Upkeep freshness and ensure high quality standards when handling goods at the meat cutting station, displaying goods at the chiller/showcase and arranging goods in the coldroom.

• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, cleanliness, personal grooming and hygiene at all times to reflect a good company image.
