A leading precious metals firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced accountant to manage comprehensive financial reporting and compliance functions. The successful candidate will assist in full accounting responsibilities, including AP, AR, and month-end closings. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 3 years of relevant experience are required, alongside strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software like Xero. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and requires excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Assist in managing the full set of accounts, including month-end and year-end closing.
Perform end-to-end accounting functions, including AP, AR, and general ledger activities.
Prepare and submit GST returns in compliance with IRAS regulations.
Maintain accurate and complete accounting records, including bank reconciliations and journal entries.
Prepare financial and management reports as required.
Support statutory audits by preparing audit schedules and required documentation.
Assist with inventory accounting, including reconciliation and valuation (experience with precious metals inventory is an advantage).
Handle HR administrative functions, including payroll, IR8A/IR21 submissions, employment contracts, and leave management.
Provide administrative support including document organisation, vendor and bank onboarding, and responding to government notifications.
Support the company’s designated Compliance Officer in ensuring adherence to the Precious Stones and Precious Metals (Prevention of Money Laundering) Act.
Assist with the enhancement of internal controls, accounting procedures, and workflow improvements.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in financial reporting; experience in precious metals or commodity trading is preferred.
Competency in preparing consolidated financial statements is required.
Experience in GST reporting and compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Xero is a strong advantage.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stress effectively.
