Job summary

A leading accounting firm in Singapore is seeking an Accounts Assistant to support monthly closing of accounts, manage payment preparations, and conduct bookkeeping. Candidates should possess a Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to communicate in English and Mandarin. With a focus on teamwork and attention to detail, the ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of relevant experience. This role demands good multitasking abilities and a positive, flexible attitude.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Knowledge in accounting skills is necessary.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin is important.
  • Good team player with attention to detail and multitasking abilities is expected.
  • Preferably have 1-2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Ability to work independently with a flexible and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monthly closing of accounts and management reporting.
  • Responsible for daily accounts recording functions and documentation.
  • Handle payment preparation and documentation.
  • Perform bookkeeping and general accounting tasks.
  • Conduct data entry and daily accounts recording.
  • Assist in preparing monthly cash flows and bank reconciliation.
  • Liaison with auditor, company secretary, and tax agent.
  • Perform clerical work and interoffice support.
  • Complete ad hoc tasks or assignments as required.
