A leading IT support company in Singapore is seeking an experienced IT support professional to provide end-user support in a dynamic scientific environment. The role requires proficiency in multiple operating systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience with applications like Microsoft Office and SAP ERP. Candidates should have certifications in CompTIA A+ or similar. This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about IT support and customer service.
Experience in providing dedicated IT support, particularly end-user support, preferably in a research or scientific environment.
2 years of experience in providing dedicated IT support, particularly end-user support, preferably in a research or scientific environment. Collectively, the team shall demonstrate strong technical proficiency across Windows, Linux, and macOS, coupled with knowledge of information security principles.
Ability to learn to support specialized scientific applications is a plus. Collectively, the team shall possess advanced troubleshooting skills across multiple operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux (Ubuntu, Redhat), strong knowledge of networking concepts, and experience in handling complex technical escalations.
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate would be advantageous.
Personnel must demonstrate professional communication competency (written and spoken English), customer service, and problem-solving skills.
i. End-User Computing Devices (EUCD, e.g. Windows Desktops/Laptops, Apple Mac)
ii. Common desktop applications, but not limited to:
iii. Handheld Computing Devices including but not limiting to iPads, Tablets, Smart Phones.
iv. Accessories for Computing Devices including but not limiting to Port Replicators, Docking Stations, Web Cams, DVD/Blu-ray Burners, Kensington locks, Card Readers, Power Adaptors, Input Devices such as Keyboards, Mouse, Digital Pens, Handheld Scanners
v. External LCD Monitors
vi. Personal and Network Printers, Label Printers, Document Scanners
