Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an IT Support Engineer with 1–4 years of experience to provide first-line L1 support during a fixed night shift.

You will troubleshoot issues across applications, hardware, networking, and manufacturing systems to ensure smooth IT operations. The role requires a Diploma/Degree in IT or related field, knowledge of Windows/Linux, and strong problem-solving abilities. Experience with MES/WMS is a plus, and you must be able to work a permanent night shift

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT, CS or related field.
• 1–4 years of IT Helpdesk/End-user support experience.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux, basic networking and security concepts.
• Experience with MES or WMS is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Willingness to work a permanent night shift (Mon-Fri, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM).

Responsibilities

• Provide L1 support for applications, systems and end users, resolving issues or escalating as needed.
• First point of contact for hardware, software, printers, and system incidents.
• Initial troubleshooting for infrastructure and network issues.
• Support installation, configuration and maintenance of IT systems and end-user devices.
• Monitor and support MES and WMS manufacturing systems.
• Perform routine IT operations, security and audit activities during the shift.

The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting application, hardware, network, and manufacturing system issues while ensuring smooth IT operations across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L1 support for applications, systems, and end users, ensuring timely issue resolution or escalation.
• Serve as the first point of contact for hardware, software, printer, and system-related incidents.
• Perform initial troubleshooting for infrastructure and network issues and elevate when necessary.
• Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems, applications, and end-user devices.
• Monitor and support manufacturing system(s) such as MES and WMS.
• Execute routine IT operational, security, and audit activities during the shift.
• Maintain accurate documentation, asset records, and incident logs.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 1 to 4 years of experience in IT Helpdesk, Application Support, or End-User Support.
• Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux environments, networking, security concepts, and SQL querie s.
• Experience supporting MES, WMS, or manufacturing systems is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive team player with a positive attitude and willingness to work independently.
• Able to commit to a permanent night shift (Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
• Exposure to Cisco technologies, system administration, or enterprise applications.
