About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Application Support Engineer to serve as a key bridge between production operations, support teams, and technical stakeholders. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing and shopfloor applications that support critical production and warehouse operations. As a senior team member, you will provide L2/L3 application support, lead complex troubleshooting efforts, coordinate across support shifts, and work closely with DevOps, project teams, and business users to maintain high system availability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 application support for manufacturing, shopfloor, warehouse, and related production systems during the designated support window.
- Act as a senior support resource, ensuring effective handover and coordination across different support shifts.
- Monitor and maintain the health, availability, and performance of manufacturing systems, minimizing production downtime.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams, technical leads, vendors, and application owners to resolve complex system issues and implement permanent fixes.
- Support system enhancements, testing activities, user acceptance testing (UAT), and hypercare support for newly released functionalities.
- Execute application releases, patches, deployments, and enhancement activities in accordance with established IT governance and change management procedures.
About you
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Application Support, Production Support, or related IT support functions.
- Experience supporting MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), shopfloor systems, warehouse systems, or production applications is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and shopfloor operations.
- Familiarity with manufacturing technologies and concepts such as MES, ERP, Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, and Production Automation Systems.
- Good understanding of relational databases and ability to perform backend analysis.
- Basic knowledge of programming or scripting would be advantageous.
- Experience working within software development lifecycle (SDLC), change management, release management, and deployment processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive issue resolution independently.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
