Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Security Officer (ITSO) to support and strengthen the organisation’s cybersecurity posture. The role focuses on system security compliance, cloud security governance, vulnerability management, and incident response across cloud and on-premise environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with technical and governance teams to ensure compliance with recognised security standards and to proactively manage security risks.

Key Responsibilities

System Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain system security controls aligned with CIS Benchmarks and industry best practices.

• Plan, schedule, and conduct annual reviews of security hardening documentation.

• Perform regular security compliance reviews and track remediation of identified findings.

Security Operations & Governance

• Monitor security vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation and remediation actions.

• Manage and respond to security alerts and incidents, including investigation and escalation where required.

• Provide governance and technical support for security initiatives across cloud and on-premise environments.

Cloud Security Management

• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability management for cloud platforms and on-premise systems, particularly within GCC environments.

• Support the use and operation of cloud security and monitoring platforms to enhance threat detection and visibility.
