Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced IT infrastructure engineer to manage enterprise desktop infrastructure and EUC services across government and business units.

You will design, deploy, and maintain desktop environments, automate provisioning, and lead L2/L3 support. The role emphasizes cloud integration, endpoint management, and continuous service improvement.

Candidates with 5+ years in enterprise IT, cloud certs and strong scripting will excel.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Electronics or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise desktop, endpoint management or IT infrastructure engineering.
• Practical experience in cloud infrastructure administration and scripting or automation.
• Diploma holders should possess substantial relevant enterprise IT infrastructure experience.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, CompTIA, ITIL or other relevant infrastructure and cloud credentials are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-level IT infrastructure and EUC services across multiple business units and government agencies.
• Design, deploy, manage and maintain enterprise desktop infrastructure, endpoint devices and workplace technology solutions.
• Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of desktop infrastructure and EUC services, ensuring availability and reliability.
• Manage endpoint provisioning, configuration, deployment, patching, software distribution and lifecycle management.
• Support administration and management of cloud-based infrastructure and desktop management services.
• Develop and maintain scripts to streamline desktop deployment, configuration, patching and monitoring.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to plan and deliver desktop and cloud projects.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity and application teams to address business requirements.
• Drive standardisation and optimisation of desktop services and infrastructure management processes.
• Monitor performance, identify recurring issues and implement improvements to service delivery.

• Provide enterprise-level IT infrastructure and end-user computing (EUC) services to multiple business units and government agencies.
• Design, deploy, manage and maintain enterprise desktop infrastructure, endpoint devices and workplace technology solutions.
• Support the implementation and continuous enhancement of desktop infrastructure and end-user computing services, ensuring availability, reliability and operational efficiency.
• Manage endpoint provisioning, configuration, deployment, patching, software distribution and lifecycle management.
• Support the administration and management of cloud-based infrastructure and desktop management services.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation solutions to streamline desktop deployment, configuration, patching, monitoring and routine infrastructure operations.
• Work with internal technical teams and external service providers to plan, coordinate and deliver desktop infrastructure and cloud-related projects.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity and application teams to design and implement solutions that address current and future business requirements.
• Drive standardisation and optimisation of desktop services, endpoint configurations and infrastructure management processes.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, identify recurring issues and implement improvements to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and L2/L3 support for desktop and infrastructure-related incidents, including investigation and resolution of complex technical issues.

Technical Requirements

• Enterprise desktop infrastructure and end-user computing (EUC) management.
• Windows operating systems, desktop configuration and administration.
• Desktop deployment, imaging, provisioning and configuration management.
• Endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) or equivalent solutions.
• Active Directory, Group Policy and user account management.
• Microsoft 365 and enterprise desktop application support.
• Cloud infrastructure and services, preferably Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Cloud-based endpoint management, desktop administration and infrastructure integration.
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python or equivalent scripting languages.
• Automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, patching and routine operational tasks.
• Endpoint security, antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and security patch management.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting, incident management and L2/L3 technical support.
• Understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking and directory services.
• IT service management (ITSM), incident, problem and change management.
• Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), virtualisation or cloud-based desktop solutions is advantageous.
• Infrastructure monitoring, service performance analytics and continuous service improvement are advantageous.

Experience / Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise desktop, endpoint management or IT infrastructure engineering.
• Practical experience in cloud infrastructure administration and scripting or automation.
• Candidates with a diploma or equivalent qualification should possess substantial relevant experience in enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, CompTIA, ITIL or other relevant infrastructure and cloud certifications will be advantageous.
• Experience supporting large-scale, complex or multi-site enterprise environments will be an advantage.
