Job summary

Talent Titans Pte Ltd is seeking a proactive Inside Sales Officer to manage customer inquiries and quotations in Singapore's marine safety sector. The role offers a path to outside sales as you develop product knowledge.

You will work closely with technical, operations and logistics teams to fulfil orders, build customer relationships and grow sales through cross-selling and account management. The position starts with inside sales responsibilities and evolves with increasing field activities

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming sales enquiries by phone and email, providing timely and professional responses.
• Understand customer requirements and coordinate with the technical team to recommend products and solutions.
• Prepare quotations and proposals, follow up and convert opportunities into orders.
• Proactively contact existing and prospective customers to identify new sales opportunities.
• Build relationships with purchasing teams, shipowners, ship managers and other customer contacts.
• Identify opportunities for repeat orders, cross-selling and additional services.
• Coordinate with technical, operations and logistics teams on product availability and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity in the CRM system.

Our client provides marine safety and detection solutions to customers in the maritime industry. Its products and services support safe vessel operations, including gas detection equipment, calibration gases and related testing solutions.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, customer-focused Inside Sales Officer to manage sales enquiries, prepare quotations, follow up on opportunities and build customer relationships.

The role will initially focus on inside sales, offering the opportunity to develop product knowledge and understand the maritime customer base. As your capabilities grow, the scope is expected to expand into outside sales, including customer visits, business development and direct account management.

Key Responsibilities

Inside Sales and Customer Management

• Handle incoming sales enquiries by phone and email, providing timely and professional responses.
• Understand customer requirements and work with the technical team to recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Prepare quotations and proposals, follow up with customers and convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
• Proactively contact existing and prospective customers to identify new sales opportunities.
• Build relationships with purchasing teams, shipowners, ship managers and other relevant customer contacts.
• Identify opportunities for repeat orders, equipment replacement, cross-selling and additional services.
• Coordinate with technical, operations and logistics teams on product availability, order processing and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities and opportunity updates in the CRM system.
• Support sales reporting and contribute towards agreed sales targets.

Development into Outside Sales

• Progressively participate in customer meetings, site visits and product presentations.
• Support prospecting and business development within assigned accounts or markets.
• Develop the ability to manage customer accounts through the full sales cycle, from initial contact to negotiation and closing.
• Represent the company at relevant customer events and industry exhibitions as required.
• Take on greater responsibility for customer acquisition and account growth as product knowledge and sales capabilities develop.

Requirements
