Job summary

INDEX-COOL ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an HVAC engineer to design marine/offshore systems, calculating loads, selecting equipment and detailing system components.

You will prepare technical docs and drawings, lead meetings with shipyards and clients, and collaborate with production, project teams, suppliers and auditors. Requires degree in engineering and at least 3 years in mechanical/HVAC; proficiency in AutoCAD and Carrier HAP; MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed HVAC system designs including loads and equipment selection.
• Prepare technical documentation and drawings per project schedule.
• Lead engineering meetings with shipyard/clients.
• Collaborate with shipyard, production, project teams, suppliers and auditors.
• Assist engineering manager with design and drawings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Description of Duties

• Creates detailed designs for HVAC systems, including calculating heating and cooling loads, selecting appropriate equipment, and specify in system components.
• Prepares technical documentation/drawings, including Equipment Technical Specification, Duct & Instrument Diagram, Functional Design Specification, and Site Acceptance Test etc., and submit as per project schedule.
• Lead and manage technical meetings with shipyard/client.
• Works closely with shipyard/client, production and project team, suppliers and auditors
• Assist Engineering manager for engineering design and drawings works
• Other duties as assigned by the Management

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the HVAC marine and offshore sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software (AutoCAD), Carrier HAP (Hourly Analysis Program).
• Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel.
