Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in HVAC engineering, preferably marine/offshore.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Carrier HAP.
• MS Word and Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team to deliver HVAC designs meeting project goals and standards.
• Calculate heating and cooling loads and select HVAC equipment for optimal performance.
• Prepare technical docs and drawings, including specs, diagrams, and test reports.
• Lead technical meetings with shipyard and client to align on issues.
• Collaborate with shipyard, client, production, auditors to ensure smooth execution.
• Perform other duties to support objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team to deliver detailed HVAC system designs that meet project requirements and industry standards
• Calculate heating and cooling loads and select appropriate HVAC equipment to optimize system performance
• Prepare and submit comprehensive technical documentation and drawings, including Equipment Technical Specifications, Duct & Instrument Diagrams, Functional Design Specifications, and Site Acceptance Test reports according to project schedules
• Lead and facilitate technical meetings with shipyard and client stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve engineering issues
• Collaborate closely with shipyard, client, production and project teams, suppliers, and auditors to ensure seamless project execution
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support engineering and project objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC engineering, preferably within marine and offshore sectors
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software and Carrier HAP (Hourly Analysis Program)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Strong bilingual communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
