Job summary

index-cool marine & industry pte ltd is seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Engineer to head the engineering team for marine and offshore projects, designing HVAC systems, calculating loads, selecting equipment, and specifying components.

You will prepare technical drawings and specs, manage design documents, lead technical meetings with shipyards/clients, and collaborate with production, suppliers, and auditors to meet project schedules.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of HVAC engineering experience, preferably marine/offshore.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Carrier HAP.
• MS Office (Word, Excel) proficient.
• Good bilingual communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering team for HVAC system design and engineering work.
• Create detailed designs, calculate loads, select equipment, and specify components.
• Prepare technical documentation and drawings (specs, diagrams, FAT docs) per schedule.
• Lead and manage technical meetings with shipyard/ client.
• Collaborate with shipyard/client, production, project team, suppliers, and auditors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Lead Engineering team for HVAC system design and engineering work
• Creates detailed designs for HVAC systems, including calculating heating and cooling loads, selecting appropriate equipment, and specify in system components.
• Prepares technical documentation/drawings, including Equipment Technical Specification, Duct & Instrument Diagram, Functional Design Specification, and Site Acceptance Test etc., and submit as per project schedule.
• Lead and manage technical meetings with shipyard/client.
• Works closely with shipyard/client, production and project team, suppliers and auditors
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC engineering, preferably in the marine and offshore sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software (AutoCAD),Carrier HAP (Hourly Analysis Program).
• Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel.
• Bilingual with good communication skills
