Job summary

PaxOcean is seeking an experienced Mechanical/HVAC designer with about 8+ years in the marine/offshore sector to independently perform HVAC design (2D & 3D), equipment sizing, and conform to Class rules and specifications. You will support project teams and coordinate with yard, consultants, and vendors.

Responsibilities include preparing calculations, drawings, and reviews, ensuring technical quality and schedule adherence across new-build, repairs, upgrades, and conversions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Machinery/HVAC newbuilding design in Marine/Offshore.

Responsibilities

• Perform the assigned HVAC & mechanical tasks on schedule and with quality.
• Report to project for the assigned tasks (Man-hour/Schedule) & support in HVAC & mechanical technical issues.
• Collaborate with team members to drive overall project progress.
• Prepare & Review HVAC calculations, specifications & vendor documents.
• Prepare & Review HVAC 2D SLD/DLD designs, 3D models and production drawings.
• Coordinate with Shipyard/Consultant/Vendor/Class.
• Report to Mechanical Project Section Lead/Mechanical Technical Lead.
• Handle projects: New buildings, Repairs, Upgrades, Conversions.

• Perform the assigned HVAC & mechanical task on schedule and with quality
• Report to project for the assigned tasks (Man-hour/Schedule etc.) & support in HVAC & mechanical technical issue
• Collaborate with other team members to drive the overall project progress
• Prepare & Review HVAC calculation, specification & vendor's documents
• Prepare & Review HVAC 2D SLD/DLD design, 3D model, production related drawings and provide site supports
• Coordinate with Shipyard /Consultant / Vendor/ Class
• Responsible to Mechanical Project Section Lead/ Mechanical Technical Lead
• Project Handling: New building project, Repair, Upgrading, Conversion project

Key Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in the Machinery/HVAC newbuilding design in the Marine/ Offshore industry.
• Familiar with AutoCAD/ MS office / AVEVA
• Familiar with Class rules, Statutory requirement
• Good knowledge of HVAC/machinery/ piping design
