HR Operations & Payroll Lead

Job summary

Direct Search Global in Singapore is seeking an experienced HR professional to lead day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, payroll, and offboarding.

You will develop HR policies aligned with business goals, partner with management on workforce planning and talent development, and ensure compliance with Singapore employment laws while maintaining confidential records and data protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business or related field.
• At least 4–5 years of HR experience, including managing or supervising HR functions.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience managing full employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, offboarding).
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment activities including manpower planning, sourcing, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
• Partner with management on workforce planning, organisational development, and talent management.
• Advise on employee relations matters and provide guidance on workplace policies, performance issues, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
• Oversee payroll, leave administration, benefits, insurance, and employee records with external providers.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Employment Act, CPF, workplace regulations, and fair employment guidelines.
• Coordinate employee engagement, training, learning and development, and performance initiatives.
• Maintain HR records, HRIS data, and personnel documentation with confidentiality and data protection.
• Monitor HR metrics: headcount, turnover, recruitment performance, absenteeism, engagement.
• Support annual budgeting and workforce cost planning.
• Provide recommendations to improve employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
• Support audits, statutory requirements, and HR projects.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline
