Job summary

1011 United Overseas Bank Ltd. seeks an expert leader to drive advanced business analytics and insights across the bank.

You will lead data science, analytics, and reporting teams to deliver data-driven decisions that optimize performance and customer experience. The role focuses on leveraging data, ML, and predictive analytics to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and translate findings into strategic recommendations for senior management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 10–12 years of experience in business analytics, data science, or a similar role, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful analytics strategies in a financial services environment, preferably banking.
• Deep expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics techniques.
• Proficiency in Python or R, and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced SQL.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing analytics teams.
• Strong understanding of financial products, services, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for analytics deployment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall analytics strategy aligned with UOB's objectives.
• Lead a team of data scientists, analysts, and reporting specialists with a high-performance culture.
• Oversee end-to-end analytics lifecycle from data collection to deployment and monitoring.
• Translate data findings into actionable insights for senior management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Drive adoption of advanced analytics including ML, predictive modeling, and AI.
• Establish and maintain data governance ensuring data quality and security.
• Evaluate and recommend analytics tools and methodologies to enhance capabilities.
• Monitor industry trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership.
