Job summary

PRABHA KITCHEN PTE. LTD. seeks a Chief Cook to lead menu creation, oversee kitchen operations and budget, and supervise staff including sous chefs, line cooks and dishwashers, ensuring safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with front-of-house and management while staying up-to-date with culinary trends through classes and workshops; leadership and clear communication are essential in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• Extensive training in food preparation, kitchen management and sanitation.
• Progression from line cook or apprentice to chief cook is common.
• Strong leadership, communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement the restaurant's menu considering preferences and ingredient availability.
• Manage daily kitchen operations: scheduling, orders, and budget.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff including sous chefs, line cooks and dishwashers; ensure food safety compliance.
• Coordinate with front-of-house and management to ensure smooth kitchen operation.
• Stay current with trends by attending culinary classes, workshops, and researching recipes/equipment.
