Job description
Hardware Engineer (Power Electronics Engineer)

As an Embedded Software Engineer for power electronics products, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining embedded software for devices like metering devices and control relays. Your duties will include analyzing and enhancing existing controller firmware, programming new features in embedded firmware, web interfaces, and graphical user interfaces, troubleshooting and resolving firmware bugs and performance issues, and ensuring seamless integration of new software with existing systems through comprehensive testing.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, R&D teams, and product specialists to refine technical requirements and recommend and configure power quality (PQ) solutions customized to meet specific customer needs. Additionally, you will support the integration of communication protocols such as Modbus, DLMS, M-Bus, LoRa, and cloud data acquisition gateways.

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in power electronics engineering or related R&D roles. You should possess knowledge of low, medium, and high-voltage power electronics, power factor control, and harmonic filtering. Proficiency in C/C++, familiarity with firmware development environments, and experience with communication protocols like Modbus, IEC 61850, DLMS, M-Bus, Wireless M-Bus, and LoRa are essential.

Moreover, you should be familiar with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and debugging tools (e.g., JTAG), capable of using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and clamp meters, and skilled in soldering and component-level circuit diagnostics. This is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance and Provident Fund, and the work location is in person.
