The Group Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in the financial health and integrity of an organization, is responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, overseeing financial reporting, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Senior Accountants serve as a bridge between the accounting team and management, offering expertise in both day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Group General Ledger Management: Oversee subsidiaries and organization's general ledger , review entries for accuracy and ensure transactions are properly recorded.
- Group Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP). Analyze results and present findings to management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with subsidiaries to develop budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor expenditures and identify variances.
- Audit Support: Facilitate audits by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Implement improvements based on audit feedback.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other statutory obligations. Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and advise management on implications.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable Oversight: Supervise processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Review aging reports and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve outstanding items.
- Policy Development: Assist in establishing and updating accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.
- Financial Analysis: Evaluate financial data to provide insights into business performance and identify opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
- Mentoring and Leadership: Coach junior accountants, review their work, and support their professional development. Foster a collaborative and ethical work environment.
- System Improvements: Participate in implementation and optimization of accounting software and ERP systems. Identify automation opportunities to streamline processes.
What We're Looking For
- Singaporeans or PR only.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required. A master's degree or advanced coursework in accounting is an asset.
- At least 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or leadership roles. Previous exposure to audit, tax, or financial analysis is advantageous
- Technical Skills: Proficient with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with data analytics tools is beneficial.
- Analytical Ability: Demonstrated ability to interpret financial data, recognize trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and thoroughness in financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to explain financial matters to both technical and non-technical audiences.
