Job summary

YASUDA LOGISTICS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a dynamic salesperson to develop new business through outdoor sales, client visits and networking. You will identify and acquire customers for freight forwarding services and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.

You will promote sea/air freight, import/export and logistics solutions, work with Operations to tailor service, follow up leads, quotations and achieve sales targets set by the Sales Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, shipping or logistics is preferred.
• Outdoor sales / B2B sales experience is advantageous.
• Existing customer contacts or freight-forwarding sales experience is an advantage.
• Pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
• Good command of English.
• Own transport preferred for outdoor sales role.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities through outdoor sales, customer visits, cold calling and networking.
• Identify and acquire new customers for the company's freight forwarding services.
• Maintain and develop good relationships with existing customers and provide account servicing.
• Follow up on sales leads, enquiries and quotations promptly to secure new business.
• Promote sea freight, air freight, import/export and logistics services.
• Understand customers' shipping requirements and work with Operations to provide suitable solutions.
• Monitor customers' shipping activities and identify opportunities to increase business.
• Handle customer enquiries and service issues professionally.
• Maintain records of sales activities, customer visits and quotations.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and prepare regular sales reports.
• Perform other sales and marketing duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.
