Job summary

Freight Forwarding / Logistics in Singapore is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to develop new business opportunities, build relationships with customers and grow the client base in freight forwarding and logistics.

The successful candidate will source potential customers, tailor freight solutions (air, sea and cross-border trucking), conduct meetings, and work toward monthly targets while collaborating with operations.

Qualifications

• Prior sales experience in freight forwarding / logistics is preferred.
• Candidates with hands-on knowledge of Air Freight, Sea Freight and/or Cross-Border Trucking will have an advantage.
• Candidates with an existing customer network or client base within the freight forwarding / logistics industry will have an added advantage.
• Good communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Confident in approaching new customers and developing new business.
• Self-motivated, proactive and results-driven.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to build and maintain good long-term customer relationships.
• Able to work closely with Operations and other internal teams.
• Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred to support communication with Mandarin-speaking customers and business partners.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities.
• Actively source and approach potential customers through calls, emails, meetings, referrals and other sales activities.
• Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing customers.
• Understand customers' logistics requirements and propose suitable freight and logistics solutions.
• Develop business across Air Freight, Sea Freight, Cross-Border Trucking and other logistics services.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations, enquiries and sales leads.
• Conduct customer visits and sales meetings when required.
• Maintain regular follow-up with prospective and existing customers.
• Identify opportunities to grow and develop existing accounts.
• Work towards monthly sales targets set by the Company.
