Job summary

JOINTHIRE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned logistics sales professional to lead bulk shipping client development, build relationships with shipping lines, and prepare competitive quotations.

You will conduct outside sales to secure new business from shippers, travel to Japan and Southeast Asia as needed, and manage end-to-end import/export quotations while growing the customer base. The role is based near Jurong East MRT, with standard hours (Mon–Fri, 8:30–17:30) and transport

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in logistics/shipping or freight forwarders.
• Experience in import/export operations and quotations.
• Proven track record in new business development and client relationship management.
• Proficient in English and Japanese.
• Willingness to travel for sales visits.
• Familiarity with Japanese business etiquette; experience in a Japanese company is a plus.
• Experience arranging conventional vessels and negotiating with shipping companies.
• Knowledge of bulk vessel business is a plus.
• Sales and customer oriented.

Responsibilities

• Main contact for bulk shipping, building and maintaining relationships with shipping companies and handling quotations.
• Conduct sales activities to secure new business opportunities from shippers.
• Prepare quotations for import/export operations, develop new clients, and maintain relationships with existing clients.
• Business trips to Japan and Southeast Asia for sales activities when required.
• Other ad hoc projects/duties as assigned by the company.
