A bustling restaurant in Singapore is looking for an experienced Floor Manager to lead the front-of-house team. The role involves ensuring smooth daily operations, managing staff, and delivering high-quality guest service. Floor Manager is responsible for leading the front-of-house team, ensuring smooth daily operations on the restaurant floor, and delivering a consistently high level of guest service.
This role works closely with the Operations Manager and kitchen team to coordinate service, uphold standards, and resolve any operational or guest issues quickly.
Lead, supervise, and motivate service staff (servers, hosts, bartenders, runners) during shifts, including pre-shift briefings and task allocation.
Oversee the floor during service, ensuring cleanliness, setup, and ambiance meet company standards at all times.
Ensure guests are greeted promptly, seated efficiently, and receive attentive and professional service throughout their visit.
Handle guest feedback and complaints, providing effective solutions to maintain guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure accurate order taking, timely food and beverage delivery, and smooth communication.
Monitor adherence to service SOPs, hygiene and safety standards, and relevant liquor and health regulations on the floor.
Oversee opening and closing procedures, including floor setup, checklist completion, cash handling support, and end-of-shift reporting.
Assist with staff training, coaching, and on-the-job development to maintain high service standards and product knowledge.
Support reservation management, table allocation, and guest flow to optimize capacity and minimize waiting times.
Monitor floor-level stock (linen, cutlery, crockery, menus, POS materials) and report replenishment needs or discrepancies.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
Good knowledge of restaurant service standards, basic food and beverage knowledge (including wines and cocktails), and POS systems.
Proven ability to handle guest issues professionally and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and high standard of personalgrooming.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required by operations.
Basic computer literacy for reporting and daily administrative tasks is an advantage.
