Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting strategic financial planning, analysis, and management within the Research Institute. This role involves translating high-level strategy into actionable financial plans, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and mitigating financial risks in a multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Interpret and decompose the parent organization’s strategic plans into actionable financial goals for the Research Institute.
  • Analyze and interpret the Institute’s expense policies and contribute to the development of robust expense management mechanisms.
  • Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis to proactively identify operational risks and opportunities.
  • Drive the establishment of a low-cost, high-efficiency operational platform.

Business & Resource Management:

  • Monitor industry trends and conduct specialized analyses (e.g., regional budgeting, operational management, investment layout).
  • Assist the Director of the Research Institute in overall operational management to ensure the rational allocation and utilization of regional R&D resources.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Maintain a strong understanding of local accounting policies and develop/adapt compliant financial solutions.
  • Support the implementation of financial reporting, internal controls, and financial risk management frameworks within the Institute.
  • Work to mitigate financial risks and enhance the quality of financial reporting.

Market Intelligence & Investment Support:

  • Collect, process, and analyze external (macroeconomic, industry) and internal data and insights.
  • Provide foundational support for market insight and investment analysis activities.
Required Qualifications/Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken), with the ability to operate effectively in cross-cultural and multinational work scenarios.

Knowledge & Expertise:

  • Solid understanding of relevant industry and product business knowledge.
  • Foundational knowledge of risk management principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with subsidiary management and taxation is a plus.
