About the job

As an Account Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the finance department. The ideal candidate should be a detailed-oriented and organized individual who possess basic accounting skills and adept at handling variety tasks to support the overall functioning of the department.

Your key responsibilities are as follow:
  • Handle day-to-day accounts receivable and payable duties using AutoCount, including invoicing, payment processing, and follow-ups
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in the accounting system
  • Manage petty cash reimbursements and conduct monthly bank reconciliations
  • Support inventory management, including stock movements and participation in half-yearly and annual stock counts
  • Assist in month-end closing, GST submissions, and audit preparation
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and good corporate governance practices
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
  • Diploma in Accountancy, LCCI, CAT, or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in AutoCount accounting system and Microsoft Office
