Job summary

Job description
[What the role is]

The Senior Executive will primarily conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with halal certification conditions and standards. This role will also support the development, implementation, and monitoring of the halal certification standards and processes.

[What you will be working on]
  • Conduct on-site audits and inspections of facilities and processes to ensure compliance with halal certification conditions and standards and preparing detailed reports.
  • Evaluate and monitor compliance levels for existing and newly implemented halal standards, schemes, and conditions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new halal certification standards for emerging product categories, contributing to the improvement of audit methodologies and inspection techniques.
  • Provide guidance and training to companies on halal certification requirements and compliance procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of audit findings and assist in generating progress reports and analytics on compliance trends for management review.
[What we are looking for]
  • Tertiary education in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Auditing or related field; professional certification in auditing or quality management preferred.
  • At least 1 – 2 years of experience in quality assurance or auditing, with demonstrated expertise in conducting on-site audits and inspections.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety management and / or halal certification processes, Islamic dietary laws, and ability to learn about new product categories and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with proficiency in audit techniques, report writing, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • High level of integrity, ability to maintain confidentiality, and willingness to travel for on-site audits and inspections.

Successful candidate will be appointed on contract basis.
