What You Would Get To Do

The Event Technology Manager is responsible for managing all technological aspects of event registration including overseeing registration websites, database management and troubleshooting technical issues. This role ensures consistency and accuracy of event data, generates lists upon request and supports the event delivery team with event coordination.

There is a requirement for on-site events to travel domestically or abroad as required.

Your Contributions
  • Advise on the user experience for both pre-event and onsite registration for virtual and in-person events
  • Manage the implementation and project management of event registration websites, app builds and all technological aspects of events
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Oversee client communications including save‑the‑dates, invitations, registration and confirmations
  • Ensure database accuracy, manage data input and generate lists as required
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients, addressing queries within service level agreements
  • Collaborate with the Event Delivery team on logistics, production and overall event implementation
  • Coordinate event materials such as name badges, tent cards, place cards, agendas and signage
  • Design and set up registration desk flow
  • Serve as the lead contact for attendee management and technology vendors during pre‑event and event execution
  • Assist clients with event‑related information and coordination
  • Create and distribute post‑event client surveys
  • Provide registration data analytics and insights for event performance
  • Manage relationships with technology suppliers and negotiate contracts
  • Review and reconcile third‑party vendor invoices
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and value additions for clients
  • Mentor and train staff on current technology and event processes
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, trends and industry best practices, ensuring the team is kept up‑to‑date
What We Are Looking For

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Attendee Data Management and Event Technology including meeting planning and coordination
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office specifically with Excel (comfortable with VLOOKUP function) and PowerPoint
  • Strong proficiency with registration website platforms such as Cvent, Splash, Certain, Aventri, Eventbrite or other registration website platforms
  • Experience with virtual meeting and event platforms such as Intrado, GlobalMeet / TalkPoint, Zoom, WebEx, SpotMe, Concise, Chime or other virtual meeting and event platforms
  • Experience in integrating customer relationship management software such as Marketo, Salesforce and Dealcloud with event registration management systems such as Cvent
  • Proficient programming skills such as computer coding (HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript)
  • Flexible and willing to work outside of normal business hours (evenings, weekends) and travel when required to be on‑site at events and/or troubleshoot remotely
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and oral communication skills at all levels
  • Industry knowledge of new suppliers, services and best practices
  • Able to create best practices and take on new initiatives independently
  • Client‑centric, approachable, ability to adjust to client needs and style and deepen relationships in support of their business and programs; adapt to ever‑changing demands and different client work styles
  • Motivated self‑starter ability to take direction and work independently; ability to think innovatively
