Job responsibilities

• Do regular review of design (Internal or External) and follow up of projects through appropriate methodologies for execution to meet set objectives
• Lead and manage equipment projects / programs from business case and budget preparation to industrialization of machines for capacity increase, capability improvement, cost reduction, yield improvement, process stability improvement, process optimization, productivity improvement and new material qualification in support of company’s drive for continues improvement, cost reduction and high quality
• Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation and provide Training during new machine commissioning or New upgrade of machines
• Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance engineering function
• Manage engineering changes and responsible for maintaining all technical documentations
• Be vigilant about market situations on new technology and equipment evolutions. Bring value added improvements to new machines and existing machines
• Work closely with counterparts in France to derive, exchange and implement the best practices, methods and technologies
• Work in close relationship with various production workshops to define and develop equipment improvements, fixtures, toolings etc
• Set goals and prioritises improvement in methodology, equipment improvements and skills expertise of workforce
• Prepare all Engineering Requirement, business case, CAPEX budget proposals/justification, conceptualisation, manufacturing, commissioning and industrialisation of new machines
• Prepare and review equipment specifications, select appropriate suppliers, do tender evaluation and award PO to selected suppliers up on satisfying selection criteria

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
• Excellent Equipment design and project management skill. Able to use design software like Autocad
• 3-5 years experience as a competent Design / Project Engineer in equipment engineering position in a Manufacturing or Electronics industry
• Good communication and interpersonal skill. Team player and able to interact with internal and external stakeholder
