Job summary

LETSCOOL AIRCON ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor specializing in ACMV and ducting works to manage project costs from tender through final account.

You will perform quantity take-offs, prepare cost estimates, evaluate subcontractor quotations, and monitor budgets to keep projects within budget.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years in ACMV/ducting or M&E QS.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and reading drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specs.
• Prepare cost estimates and tender submissions for ACMV and ducting.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities and cost breakdowns.
• Monitor budgets and cost variations.
• Prepare variation order (VO) claims and negotiate with clients.
• Evaluate subcontractor progress claims and payment certificates.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and project forecasts.
• Assist in procurement of ACMV equipment and related materials.
• Prepare contracts, purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
• Verify site measurements and progress for claims.
• Prepare final accounts and close-out documentation.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, suppliers and clients on commercial matters.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and company procedures.

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor specializing in ACMV and ducting works to manage project costs from tender through final account. The role involves quantity take-off, cost estimation, subcontract administration, procurement support, valuation of work completed, and cost control to ensure projects are delivered within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and project specifications.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for ACMV and ducting projects.

• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) and cost breakdowns.

• Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cost variations.

• Prepare variation order (VO) claims and negotiate with clients.

• Evaluate subcontractor progress claims and payment certificates.

• Prepare monthly cost reports and project financial forecasts.

• Assist in procurement of ACMV equipment, ducting materials, insulation, accessories, and related services.

• Prepare and manage contracts, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements.

• Verify site measurements and completed work for progress claims.

• Prepare project final accounts and close-out documentation.

• Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, consultants, suppliers, and clients regarding commercial matters.

• Ensure compliance with contract terms and company procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in ACMV, ducting, or M&E quantity surveying.

• Good understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork, insulation, piping, and mechanical services.

• Experience in tendering, estimation, and cost control.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
