Job summary

KEONG HONG CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a capable M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team. You will prepare cost estimates, take-offs, and tender submissions for M&E works, review drawings and specifications, and help quantify bills of quantities and pricing evaluations.

You will source quotations, assist in tender evaluation and awards, manage subcontractors’ costs and variations, monitor progress claims, and maintain documentation for contracts and final accounts.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 1–5 years of experience in M&E Quantity Surveying.
• Familiar with M&E systems and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare M&E cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender submissions.
• Review M&E drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify scope of works and cost implications.
• Prepare bills of quantities (BQ), cost breakdowns, and pricing evaluations.
• Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate proposals.
• Assist in tender evaluation, negotiation, and award recommendations.
• Manage and monitor M&E subcontractors’ progress claims and payment certifications.
• Evaluate variation orders and contractual claims related to M&E works.
• Track project costs and assist in cost reporting and budget control.
• Maintain documentation for project costing and contractual submissions.
• Support project handover and final account settlement.

• Prepare bills of quantities (BQ), cost breakdowns, and pricing evaluations.
• Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate commercial proposals.
• Assist in tender evaluation, negotiation, and award recommendations.
• Manage and monitor M&E subcontractors’ progress claims and payment certifications.
• Evaluate variation orders, extension of time claims, and contractual claims related to M&E works.
• Track project costs and assist in cost reporting and budget control.
• Liaise with consultants, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on commercial matters.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for project costing and contractual submissions.
• Support project handover and final account settlement.

JobRequirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in M&E Quantity Surveying, preferably in building construction projects.
• Candidates with experience in Singapore construction projects will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of M&E systems, including ACMV, electrical, plumbing & sanitary, fire protection, and ELV systems.
• Able to read and interpret M&E drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Familiar with measurement, costing, tender preparation, and contract administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quantity surveying software.
• Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
