Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a candidate with a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 2-4 years of experience in the construction industry, particularly with ACMV/HVAC projects. Responsibilities include tender management, cost estimation, and project coordination. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4 years experience in Construction, preferably in handling ACMV / HVAC projects.
• Knowledgeable of ACMV details, local codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Source for tenders and analyze tender documents.
• Conduct quantity take off and estimate costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and sub-contractors for tender submissions.
• Monitor project progress and control budget.

Education

Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Job description

• Source for tenders
• Analyse tender documents, drawings and specifications
• Conduct quantity take off and estimate costs
• Coordinate with suppliers and sub-contractors to prepare costing for tender submission
• Prepare tender and supporting documents for submission
• Follow up on any technical clarifications during post-tender stage
• Attend site showrounds and tender interviews
• Prepare sub-contractor agreement, work order and VO
• Monitor project progress and control budget
• Collaborate with Project Team to track work progress for claim submission to Main Contractor
• Assess sub-contractor's monthly claims and prepare payment certificate/response

Job Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-4 years experience in Construction, preferably in handling ACMV / HVAC projects for building construction industry.
• Knowlegeable of ACMV details, local codes and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
