Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic, results‑driven Director of MICE & Corporate Sales to join our team. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract, retain, and grow business in the MICE & Corporate Sales with a strong focus on international markets.
You'll lead and mentor the MICE & Corporate sales team, oversee all aspects of meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions/events. You'll also play a key role in driving occupancy, maximizing venue usage, and generating revenue, ensuring alignment with the resort's brand strategy, operational excellence, and exceptional client satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Development
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the MICE segment to drive hotel occupancy and maximize venue usage.
- Conduct market research and analyze trends to adjust pricing strategies, event packages, and target markets.
- Prepare marketing concept papers, proposals, and strategic plans for MICE products and events.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to showcase offerings and expand industry contacts.
Sales Performance & Revenue Growth
- Monitor and guide the sales team to achieve revenue targets across venue, hotel, F&B & attractions.
- Assist the Senior Director of Partnerships & MICE Sales in driving business performance and provide timely updates on progress.
- Prepare and manage budgets, monitor yield and occupancy performance, and generate regular sales performance reports.
- Develop and refine MICE & Corporate Sales product offerings, ensuring they meet market demand and align with brand strategy.
Client Relationship Management
- Oversee key accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and prompt resolution of client concerns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, clients, and stakeholders to generate repeat and referral business.
- Collaborate closely with clients and operations teams to understand event requirements and close service gaps.
Marketing & Promotion
- Partner with the marketing team to promote MICE & Corporate Sales products through social media, marketing materials, presentations, and videos.
- Drive engagement and attendance by positioning MICE & Corporate Sales products effectively within the market, especially the international market.
- Work with marketing to develop promotions and campaigns that support revenue goals.
Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the MICE & Corporate Sales team to achieve sales targets and maintain high performance standards.
- Support the Senior Director of Partnership & MICE Sales with organizational, communication, and administrative tasks at a strategic level.
- Ensure all events are delivered on time, meet client expectations, and follow detailed planning checklists.
- Oversee compliance and risk management within MICE & Corporate Sales operations.
- Assist in the development of new event types, P&L planning, budgets, and event calendars.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
- Minimum of 8‑10 years in MICE & Corporate Sales.
- Travel is required for client meetings, site inspections, and industry events.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Dynamics 365 for business needs.
- In‑depth knowledge of the MICE & Corporate Sales industry, including trends, competitors, and market dynamics.
