Job summary

QUESS SINGAPORE is seeking a Data Centre Operations professional in Singapore to support mission-critical data centres and remote buildings. The role involves a 12-hour rotating shift, key management, vendor escorting, and routine infrastructure checks across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data centre operations, experience in high-pressure 24x7 on-call environments, and strong ITIL-based incident/change management knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Data Centre operations experience preferable in a team.
• Experience working in a high-pressure environment with 24x7 on-call responsibilities
• Strong understanding of incident, problem and change management procedures based on ITIL best practices
• Experienced in supporting Data Centre vendors, out-sourcing vendors.
• Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize in-house software.
• Demonstrate strong multitasking capabilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in-writing.
• Possesses a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to tasks.
• An analytical and inquiring mind to derive innovative solutions.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in data centre operations within a regulated or high-security environment, preferably within the financial services sector.

Responsibilities

• Possess good knowledge of data centre operation tasks and duties.
• Perform day-to- day data centre / computer operations duties (key management, escorting vendors, facilities infrastructure checks, powering-up of onboarded servers, degaussing, routine checks, laptop management).
• Strong ability to support activities in data centre and secure rooms.
• Ensure data centre procedures are followed strictly.
• Ensure prompt escalation of all incidents, adhering to the standard incident response procedure, and track each incident to its complete resolution.
• To generate reports to management.
• Any other duties assigned by management.
• Will cover duties as required.
• The candidate will be assigned to a different data centre each month, rotating between East and West locations.
