Job summary

QUESSCORP SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Data Centre Operations Specialist to support mission-critical data centres in Singapore.

The role involves 12-hour rotating shifts, day-to-day data centre operations, and ensuring procedures are followed with strict incident escalation and reporting to management. The candidate will cover various data centres monthly across East and West locations, must have 5+ years in data centre operations, and excel in high-pressure, on-call environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Data Centre operations experience preferable in a team.
• Experience working in a high-pressure environment with 24x7 on-call responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of incident, problem and change management procedures based on ITIL best practices.
• Experienced in supporting Data Centre vendors, outsourcing vendors.
• Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize in-house software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication.
• Strong work ethic with proactive task approach.
• Analytical mindset to derive innovative solutions.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in regulated/high-security data centre environments, preferably in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Support mission critical data centres and remote buildings operations in Singapore.
• Perform day-to-day data centre / computer operations duties (key management, vendor escorting, infrastructure checks, server power-up, degaussing, routine checks, laptop management).
• Ensure data centre procedures are followed and incidents escalated promptly according to standard procedures.
• Generate reports to management and track incidents to resolution.
• Cover duties as required and rotate to different data centres monthly (East/West).

Job Objective

Support mission critical data centres and remote buildings operations in Singapore. This role is a 12-hour rotating shift duty and support the data centre operations in data centres.

Job Description

• Possess good knowledge of data centre operation tasks and duties.
• Perform day-to- day data centre / computer operations duties (key management, escorting vendors, facilities infrastructure checks, powering-up of onboarded servers, degaussing, routine checks, laptop management).
• Strong ability to support activities in data centre and secure rooms.
• Ensure data centre procedures are followed strictly.
• Ensure prompt escalation of all incidents, adhering to the standard incident response procedure, and track each incident to its complete resolution.
• To generate reports to management.
• Any other duties assigned by management.
• Will cover duties as required.
• The candidate will be assigned to a different data centre each month, rotating between East and West locations.

Desired Skills, Knowledge and Experience
