Job summary

VDL ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES GROUP (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to act as the first point of contact for quality issues.

You will drive root-cause analysis, develop and implement best practices to prevent defects, and work to improve process efficiency in a team setting. You will review quality issues with customers, internal teams, and suppliers, lead CAB meetings using 8D methodologies, and ensure shipments meet all customer requirements through robust inspection,

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, precision, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years in customer quality management in semiconductor equipment.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge; certification is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and Excel skills; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and review quality issues with Customers, in-house teams, and suppliers.
• Schedule and close non-conformance meetings with Customers.
• Chair and drive CAB meetings to derive root causes and CAPAs using 8D.
• Ensure root-cause analysis using 5-Why and fishbone diagrams.
• Define outgoing inspection checklist to meet customer requirements.
• Compile weekly customer quality reports measuring quality KPIs.
• Monitor FAI of internal and external parts to ensure first article meets requirements.
• Support company continuous improvement initiatives.
