Job description

The Wheelchair Transport Driver operates Bigfoot Medicare’s wheelchair transport vehicles, ensuring the safe, timely, and compassionate transfer of patients to and from healthcare facilities or residences.

Job details:

• Operate assigned wheelchair transport vehicles safely and professionally, in full compliance with traffic regulations and company SOPs.
• Provide a caring, respectful, and professional transport service to all patients.
• Ensure vehicle inventory, medical supplies, and safety equipment are fully stocked, functional, and up to date; replace or restock items as required.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and hygiene standards, including performing or scheduling regular vehicle washing.
• Accurately complete and submit all required documentation, trip logs, and reports at the end of each shift.
• Maintain accurate transport records and ensure proper documentation for each trip.
• Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff.
• Support ad-hoc operational or administrative duties as assigned by the Operations Supervisor.
• Comply with all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and participate in mandatory toolbox briefings and safety meetings.
