About the Role
Exceptional Chief Operating Officer to lead data centre operations and drive construction and engineering excellence across Southeast Asia. This strategic leadership position will be instrumental in scaling our data centre network and operational capabilities during an exciting period of regional expansion.
As COO, you will oversee all internal operations, manage complex infrastructure environments, and lead high-performing teams to deliver world‑class data centre facilities that meet the growing demand for digital infrastructure in the region.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for all operational aspects of multi‑site data centre facilities across Southeast Asia.
- Oversee construction and engineering functions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Drive operational efficiency and excellence across all facilities, implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and develop cross‑functional teams across operations, engineering, construction, and facilities management.
- Manage significant operational budgets and optimize resource allocation.
- Establish and maintain hyperscale operational standards aligned with industry best practices.
- Champion innovation in data centre technologies, including AI‑centric environments and advanced cooling solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Develop and execute operational strategies that support the company's growth objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of progressive leadership experience in multi‑site data centre operations
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Engineering, Building Services, or related engineering discipline
- Proven track record of successfully delivering data centre construction projects, including both new‑build and renovation projects
- Strong technical expertise in data centre infrastructure, including: Electrical power systems and distribution HVAC and cooling systems
- Deep knowledge of MEP systems and hyperscale data centre standards
- Demonstrated experience managing large operational budgets and P&L responsibility
- Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) technologies, AI‑optimized data centre environments, IT infrastructure and network systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications in data centre management (e.g., CDCP, CDCS, CDCE)
- Certifications in facilities management or IT infrastructure (e.g., CFM, ITIL)
- Experience with Tier III or Tier IV data centre facilities
- Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and green data centre practices
