AMMU'S KITCHEN PTE. LTD. is seeking an assistant cook to support the Chef with daily food preparation, cooking, and maintaining clean work areas. You will help ensure timely delivery of quality dishes in a busy Singapore kitchen.

You will prep ingredients, marinate meats, and assist with plating while adhering to hygiene standards and shift schedules, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Freshers are welcome to apply.
• 6 months to 2 years of kitchen experience; basic knife skills and knowledge of Asian cuisine.

Responsabilités

• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables for dishes including Nasi Goreng Pattaya and Kampung.
• Marinate meats and portion ingredients accurately per recipes.
• Prepare basic mocktail garnishes for beverage presentation.
• Assist in cooking simple dishes like fried rice and staff meals under the Chef’s supervision.
• Support plating and presentation to uphold quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of racks, counters, and stove for a safe kitchen.
• Follow FIFO method to label and store groceries properly.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the Chef of low inventory.
• Perform dishwashing duties as required to support operations.
• Adhere to Singapore Food Agency (SFA) food hygiene regulations.

Job Summary

Assist the Chef in daily food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness to ensure timely delivery of quality dishes.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, and cut vegetables to prepare ingredients for various dishes including Nasi Goreng Pattaya and Kampung
• Marinate meats and portion ingredients accurately according to recipes
• Prepare basic mocktail garnishes such as lime, mint, blueberry, and strawberry for beverage presentation
• Assist in cooking simple dishes like fried rice, fries, and staff meals under Chef’s supervision
• Support plating and food presentation to maintain quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness of stainless steel racks, counters, and stove to ensure a safe kitchen environment
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) method to label and store vegetables and groceries properly
• Monitor stock levels and promptly inform the Chef of low inventory
• Perform dishwashing duties as required to support kitchen operations
• Adhere to Singapore Food Agency (SFA) food hygiene regulations to ensure food safety
• Wear proper uniform, hairnet, and gloves to maintain hygiene standards
• Keep the workplace clean and safe throughout shifts

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Food Hygiene Certificate is advantageous but not mandatory
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of Asian cuisine
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• 6 months to 2 years of kitchen experience; freshers are welcome to apply
• Punctuality and strong work ethic

Salary Range in Singapore (2026)

• Assistant Cook / Commis: $1,800 - $2,600
• With overtime and meals: up to $2,800 - $3,000
