Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cafe operations including opening/closing procedures and service flow.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, coffee presentation, and guest service.
• Resolve customer inquiries and escalations to ensure high guest satisfaction.
• Manage sales targets, labor costs, and COGS to hit financial goals.
• Monitor stock levels, place vendor orders, and conduct inventory audits.
• Analyze POS data and performance trends for local promotions.
• Lead recruitment, training, and mentoring of service and barista teams.
• Schedule shifts, rosters, attendance, and payroll inputs.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment for staff retention.
• Ensure adherence to SFA hygiene standards and food safety practices.
• Maintain Workplace Safety and Health guidelines across the cafe floor.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cafe operations including opening and closing procedures, floor management, and service flow to ensure smooth business functioning
• Maintain consistent high standards of food quality, coffee presentation, and customer service to enhance guest experience
• Resolve customer inquiries, feedback, and service escalations promptly to ensure high guest satisfaction and encourage repeat visits
• Manage daily and monthly sales targets, labor cost efficiency, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) to achieve financial goals
• Monitor stock levels, place vendor orders, conduct inventory audits, and minimize product wastage to optimize resources
• Analyze POS reports and cafe performance trends to support management in implementing effective local promotional strategies
• Lead recruitment, training, and mentoring of service and barista teams on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), customer service, and product knowledge to build a skilled workforce
• Manage staff shift scheduling, rostering, attendance tracking, and monthly payroll inputs to ensure operational readiness
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and motivating work environment to retain and engage team members
• Enforce strict compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) hygiene standards, food safety practices, and cleaning schedules to maintain a safe environment
• Ensure Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines are followed across the cafe floor to promote staff and customer safety
• Coordinate routine maintenance and servicing of cafe equipment including espresso machines, grinders, POS systems, and refrigeration units to ensure operational reliability

Required competencies and certifications

• Valid Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate recognized by Singapore Food Agency (SFA)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in cafe operations, specialty coffee shops, or fast-paced casual dining, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
