We’re looking for a hands‑on Café Assistant Manager to run the daily operations of our neighbourhood café. You’ll lead the team, ensure smooth service, maintain food and quality standards, and help grow the business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, working with people, and taking ownership of a small but busy outlet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily café operations, responsible for front and back of house
  • Ensure consistent food quality, service standards, and overall guest experience
  • Plan staff schedules and manage manpower to control labour costs
  • Recruit, train, and motivate team members to perform at their best
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and NEA regulations
  • Monitor sales, costs, and inventory to support profitability
  • Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of the café
  • Work with management on promotions, improvements, and new initiatives
  • Handle basic administrative duties such as reporting, ordering, and rostering
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing a café or F&B outlet
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable multitasking
  • Hands‑on attitude and willing to work shifts, weekends, and peak hours
  • Passion for food, café culture, and customer service
  • Food Hygiene Certification required
  • Able to work 6 days per week, including shift work, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Coffee and barista experience will be an advantage
