Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas seeks a Creative/Design Account Manager to drive branding and package design initiatives in a client-focused, collaborative environment. The role focuses on managing external clients, guiding projects through our creative process, and ensuring timely, quality outcomes.

Japanese and English communication skills are essential, with on-site work in Tokyo. You will liaise with designers, schedule work, and review outputs to meet briefs, budgets, and milestones.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Creative Design, Account Management or similar.
• Understand account financials: estimates, PO processes, costs and invoicing.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Trident systems and client systems.
• Able to brief designers and manage scheduling using project management tools.
• Strong consumer brand understanding and branding.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Able to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment with deadlines.
• Strong project management and KPI experience.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Commercially astute with growth opportunities.
• Lead projects end-to-end with positive outcomes.
• Willing to upskill and take a proactive role in development.
• Understanding of post-design/production processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve clients by aligning to creative briefs and communicating scope to the team.
• Review projects to ensure deliverables meet approved briefs, budget, and scope.
• Lead projects from kickoff to delivery, scheduling, and workflow management.
• Identify opportunities to expand services with current clients.
• Lead status meetings and ensure clear roles and accountability.
• Provide quality checks to maintain error-free artwork and brand standards.
• Co-manage project kick-offs, brainstorming sessions, and client meetings.
• Oversee capacity needs and resource allocation.
• Maintain positive relationships with creative and production teammates.
• Report productivity and profitability for the business.
• Handle administrative needs required for the work.
