Job summary

Toppan Trident in Tokyo is seeking an experienced Print Production Manager to support a global client. You will oversee artwork progress from design through print, ensuring high‑quality outputs and consistency across projects.

Strong collaboration with clients, printers and internal teams is essential. The role requires 5 years in print/packaging, solid colour management, and fluency in English and Japanese, with on‑site work in Tokyo.

Qualifications

• Around 5 years’ experience in print production, packaging repro, or related environment.
• Solid knowledge of print processes across packaging types.
• Strong colour management and proofing understanding.
• Eye for detail and commitment to brand quality.
• Ability to explain print considerations clearly to stakeholders.
• Collaborative, organized and solutions-focused.
• Professional fluency in English and Japanese (JLPT N1/N2).
• Based in Tokyo and able to work onsite at client’s office.

Responsibilities

• Ensure artwork moves smoothly from design to print with quality and consistency.
• Review new packaging designs and advise on artwork and separation approaches.
• Coordinate with clients, printers and suppliers on technical solutions.
• Provide guidance to Artworkers for accurate, consistent outcomes.
• Coach Artworkers and maintain brand colour standards.
• Keep printer specifications and records up to date in Trident systems.
• Review printed results and share observations for ongoing improvement.
• Collaborate with account, artwork and production teams to keep work on track.
