KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a bilingual social content specialist who understands social platforms deeply and loves creating content that feels real, relevant and engaging. This person must be fluent in English and Mandarin, confident in producing Chinese-first content and comfortable shaping stories across XHS, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn. The role suits someone who follows social trends closely, understands platform behaviour, and enjoys hands‑on content creation in a fast‑paced environment.

Content Creation
  • Create and adapt content in English and Mandarin across XHS, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn
  • Develop XHS Notes and short videos with clear, practical Chinese-first storytelling
  • Produce short-form videos including scripting, filming support and on-screen text
  • Shoot or source images and short clips for social when needed
  • Write clear, simple, culturally accurate Mandarin copy for captions, subtitles and product explanations
  • Ensure content feels native to each platform, not repurposed or generic
Content Quality and Platform Expertise
  • Review all Chinese-first content for accuracy and maintain consistency in tone, clarity and correctness across all platforms
  • Guide internal teams on what performs well on XHS, Meta and TikTok
  • Optimise XHS content with the right structure, pacing and SEO tags
  • Use social listening and analytics tools such as Emplifi, Meltwater or Sprinklr to spot trends, understand audience behaviour and guide content decisions.
  • Translate social trends into simple, relevant content ideas for our audience
Channel Management and Community Support
  • Support day‑to‑day content rollout across Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn
  • Assist with timely posting, monitoring and optimisation
  • Help grow XHS presence through consistent posting and platform-native content
  • Support community engagement when needed (comments, DMs, creator interactions)
Collaboration and Production
  • Participate in content planning, shoots and storyboarding
  • Liaise with agencies to ensure briefs are understood and delivered on time
  • Ensure high‑quality delivery across all social content and timelines
REQUIREMENTS
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
  • Strong understanding of social media content, trends and platform behaviours
  • Hands‑on experience with XHS content creation (Notes and short videos)
  • Able to write clean, simple, culturally relevant Mandarin copy
  • Familiarity with Chinese cooking culture and fresh food categories is an advantage
  • Skilled in short‑form video creation (shooting, scripting, basic editing)
  • Interest in food, cooking and helping shoppers navigate fresh products
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review content for accuracy
  • Experience working in fast‑paced content cycles and managing multiple deliverables
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable working with internal teams and external agencies
  • Bonus: Experience with CapCut, Canva, Premier Pro, Apple Cut Pro or other content tools
