Job summary

A growing boutique bakery in North-East Singapore is seeking a passionate Baker / Senior Baker dedicated to producing high-quality artisan buns. Responsibilities include managing the entire baking process, ensuring consistency, and maintaining a clean workspace while following food safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience in a bakery or commercial kitchen, a valid Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate, and good hand-shaping techniques. Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a bakery or commercial kitchen is preferred.
  • Candidates with more experience will be considered for a Senior Baker role.
  • Home based bakers and fresh graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the end-to-end baking process, including ingredient preparation and baking.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and consistency for all baked goods.
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene protocols are followed.
  • Monitor stock levels of raw materials.
  • Optimize workflow to ensure all orders are ready.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production: Handle the end-to-end baking process, including ingredient preparation, dough mixing, proofing, shaping, and baking.
  • Consistency: Maintain high standards of quality and consistency for all baked goods.
  • Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Ensure all food safety and hygiene protocols are strictly followed.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels of raw materials and assist in stock-taking to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Workflow Optimization: Work efficiently to ensure all orders are ready for daily fulfillment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior experience in a bakery or commercial kitchen is preferred. Candidates with more experience will be considered for a Senior Baker role. Home Based baker and fresh graduates are welcomed too!
  • Certification: Valid Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate is required.
  • Skills: Good hand-shaping techniques and an understanding of dough behavior.
  • Stamina: Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle physical tasks.
  • Reliability: Punctual, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
