Job description

A reputable international bank is seeking an experienced credit professional to join its Structured Products credit team. This role sits in the second line of defence and is responsible for assessing complex financing proposals, monitoring an active credit portfolio, and ensuring robust risk management across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate new lending proposals and portfolio monitoring submissions, assessing deal structures, terms, financials, and credit risks.
  • Provide clear credit recommendations, respond to approver queries, and prepare concise credit assessment papers.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, including non-performing loans, concentration risks, and credit cost trends.
  • Engage closely with front office and portfolio management teams to clarify assumptions, review projections, and strengthen deal structures.
  • Support improvements to credit processes, policies, and risk appetite frameworks while ensuring high-quality risk governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk, planning, and legal, to maintain strong credit discipline across the bank.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in credit risk, front office, or a related function within financial services.
  • Hands‑on experience in leveraged finance, LBO financing, or fund/NAV‑based lending (LBO exposure strongly preferred).
  • Strong analytical ability with proficiency in financial statement analysis, credit modelling, and scenario assessment.
  • Solid understanding of deal documentation and structured financing mechanics.
  • Strong communication skills, stakeholder management capability, and a collaborative working style.
  • Degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field; relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Detail‑oriented, adaptable, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
