Job summary

A leading automation solutions provider in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to lead the installation and commissioning of new automation systems. The ideal candidate will oversee project execution, manage the Automation Engineering team, and collaborate with business partners on product launches. A Diploma or Degree in Electronics or Mechatronics is required, along with strong hands-on skills in electrical design and automation practices. Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation and commissioning of new automation systems and manufacturing equipment.
  • Serve as Section Head for the Automation Engineering team, overseeing project execution and team performance.
  • Execute automation projects tailored to customer specifications and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Group to ensure timely and successful new product launches.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to optimize automated processes.
  • Prepare detailed equipment specifications and manage vendor sourcing and quotation processes.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve product failures through root cause analysis.
  • Create comprehensive work instructions and deliver training to technical staff on the operation and maintenance of new machinery and auxiliary systems.
  • Drive cost efficiency and productivity improvements by staying current with emerging automation technologies.
  • Supervise the maintenance team to ensure optimal machine performance and adherence to preventive maintenance programs.
  • Design and implement effective maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
  • Comply with plant safety protocols, safety regulations, sanitation standards, and GMP guidelines.
  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all EHS policies and actively supporting health and safety initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational excellence.
Requirement
  • Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of advanced automation systems.
  • Hands‑on experience in designing electrical diagrams and control panels.
  • Proficient in electrical wiring, sensor integration, and pneumatic component selection and installation.
  • Capable of training and mentoring team members in automation practices.
  • Familiarity with Keyence PLC programming, UR robotic systems, and Keyence vision systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrates leadership, self‑motivation, and the ability to meet deadlines.
