Job summary

Cisco Systems in Singapore is seeking an Associate Sales Engineer to join the Cybersecurity SE team. The role focuses on turning discovered use cases into tailored demos, POCs, and automated builds to illustrate secure architectures for ASEAN customers.

You will work with senior SEs, account teams, TAC, and partners to design and validate solutions, using AI-assisted tooling to accelerate builds and enable faster proof-of-concept demonstrations that win deals.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant work experience in security engineering or technical build roles.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python or similar), APIs, automation tools, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience using AI tools to design, build, or automate and interest in faster tooling.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in ambiguous environments.
• Good communication to translate technical decisions to engineers and customers.
• Curiosity about cybersecurity and desire to grow into a customer-facing Sales Engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Translate discovered customer use cases into working, customized demo environments and proofs of concept.
• Build, configure, and script across Cisco's security portfolio to represent real customer scenarios.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to automate demo builds and environment setup.
• Maintain, refresh, and troubleshoot demo/POC environments so they stay reliable and reusable.
• Collaborate with senior Sales Engineers to understand the 'why' behind a solution design and flag gaps.
• Document builds and configurations so environments can be handed off or extended.
• Collaborate with TAC, customer success, and partners when a build surfaces a product gap, bug, or integration question.
• Take on a growing share of customer-facing work over time as your product depth increases.
