Job summary

Cisco Systems seeks an Associate Sales Engineer to join its ASEAN cybersecurity sales engineering team. You will transform discovered customer use cases into tailored demonstrations, proof-of-concept environments, and automated builds that bring a proposed solution to life for the customer.

This is a hands-on, technical builder role with growing exposure to solution design. You will work with senior SEs and account teams to accelerate value delivery and customer success across the ASEAN

Qualifications

• Technical background in CS/IT/engineering with 2–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency with scripting and automation; APIs and IaC.
• Experience using AI tools for design/build/automation.
• Strong troubleshooting in ambiguous environments.
• Good communication and ability to translate tech to others.

Responsibilities

• Translate discovered use cases into working, customized demo environments and PoCs.
• Build, configure, and script across Cisco's security portfolio to represent real customer scenarios.
• Use AI-assisted tools to automate demo builds and environment setup.
• Maintain and troubleshoot demo/POC environments for reliability.
• Collaborate with senior SEs to understand the design rationale and gaps.
• Document builds and configurations for handoff and reuse.
• Collaborate with TAC, customer success, and partners on product gaps or integration questions.
• Increase customer-facing work as your design depth grows.
