Job summary

A leading construction management company in Singapore is seeking a professional to assist with project oversight, safety coordination, and quality assurance. This role involves reviewing incident reports, monitoring project data, and providing training for local construction staff, while also participating in safety training activities and corporate policy reviews. Candidates should be prepared for potential travel to support international projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Manager and General Manager with operations and project oversight.
• Review and prepare near-miss incidents and accident reports for central reporting.
• Monitor data from project tracking systems, identify issues, and provide feedback.
• Check QAQC data, highlight discrepancies, and coordinate for rectification.
• Review construction plans and provide recommendations during project meetings.
• Assist in projects by reviewing design and liaising with project teams.
• Conduct online seminars and training for local construction staff.
• Travel to support projects with design, planning, and quality assurance tasks.
• Innovate and review corporate policies regarding HSE standards.
• Coordinate HSE responsibilities effectively with project teams.
• Attend forums to stay informed about regulatory changes and best practices.
• Organize and conduct safety training activities for projects.

Job description

• Assist the Senior Manager and General Manager of the regional Building Construction Department with day-to-day operations and project oversight.
• Review near-miss incidents and accident reports related to safety and quality submitted by subsidiary companies, preparing them for upload to the central accident reporting portal.
• Monitor data from visual project tracking systems (e.g., HoloBuilder, OpenSpace), identify quality and safety issues, provide feedback, and coordinate with project teams to resolve them.
• Check QAQC data on the designated portal, highlighting discrepancies or improper check sheets to relevant staff for rectification.
• Support the review and evaluation of design and construction plans from various countries, providing recommendations on methods, scheduling, quality assurance systems, and safety practices during project meetings.
• Assist in the support of construction and tender projects by reviewing design, construction methods, and site activities, and liaising directly with local project teams.
• Contribute to the education and upskilling of local construction staff by conducting or organizing online seminars, working group discussions, and training sessions.
• Travel to other countries when necessary to support projects and tenders with tasks related to design, planning, safety, and quality assurance.
• Participate in the innovation and review of corporate policies and procedures, particularly in relation to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across subsidiaries.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure all HSE responsibilities are effectively fulfilled.
• Attend industry forums, workshops, and training programs to stay informed about regulatory changes, industry standards, and best practices.
• Organize and conduct safety training activities for subsidiary projects, including initial coordination, scheduling, and traveling to project sites as needed.
